The Co-ordination Unit consists of:
· A Co-ordinator who is the   Authorised Supervisor
· 3 Child Development Officers
· 2 Administration officers
· 1 Playgroup leader
 

What is Family Day Care?
Baulkham Hills Family Day Care has been providing quality childcare for children from the ages of 0 – 12 years in Registered Carers homes since 1979.
Baulkham Hills Family Day Care is a non-profit, community based service that is licensed by the Department of Community Services.

Accreditation
Baulkham Hills Family Day Care is accredited every 2½ years in accordance with the National Childcare Accreditation Council’s ‘Family Day Care Quality Assurance Guide’, which consists of 30 principles around the following quality areas:

1. - Interactions.
2. - Physical Environment.
3. - Children’s Experiences, Learning and Development.
4. - Health, Hygiene, Nutrition, Safety and Well being.
5. - Carers and Co-ordination Unit Staff.
6. - Management and Administration.

Hours of Care
Carers are flexible with the hours that they provide for families, ensuring that they meet with the needs of the community.

Carers:
Baulkham Hills Family Day Care currently has between 46 – 50 carers providing care in the following areas:

- Baulkham Hills
- Kellyville
- Glenwood
- Beaumont Hills
- Bella Vista
- Castle Hill
- Rouse Hill
- Glenhaven
- Kenthurst

All carers are required to hold a current First Aid Certificate, have completed Child Protection and Occupational, Health and Safety Training. A variety of internal and external training is offered at regular intervals throughout the year.



Fees


Our Family Day Care Carers have individual fee structures, please contact our Office for further information.

We are an Australian Government approved service and Child Care Benefit (CCB) and the Childcare Tax Rebate are available to eligible families.

 



The Co-ordination Unit
:
- Helps parents choose a suitable   carer.
- Recruits and monitors carers.
- Provides training and support.
- Administers Child Care Benefit    (CCB).
- Regularly visit carers to monitor    care provided and ensure that the    quality standards and DOCS
   Regulations are being met.
- Playgroups offered daily for carers    to attend either weekly or    fortnightly. Playgroup offers the    opportunity for children to play in a    different environment and    socialise with a variety of children    and carers.

Care Offered:
· Small group care, up to a maximum    of 7 children.
· Individual attention given to each    child.
· Stimulating, fun activities in a home    like environment.
· Close, professional relationship with    your child’s carer.
· Full time, part time and casual care   offered.
· Care for shift workers.
· Before and after school care   (limited).
· Vacation care.

Policies:
Baulkham Hills Family Day Care has a number of policies in operation. These are available at either the Co-ordination Unit or individual carer’s homes.

These policies are updated on a yearly basis, with input sort from carers, parents and staff
