Outreach and Transitional Housing Services
St Michael's Family Centre has access to nine properties in Western Sydney and the Campsie area, with four additional properties provided by Affordable Community Housing via an agreement.
We offer tenancies for a period of up to two years, with subsided rent. In this timeframe, we support tenants to resettle into the community through case management and casework services. Each tenant is allocated a Family Support Worker who assists with referrals for housing, health, counselling, welfare or legal matters; court support; and advocacy and mediation services.
The transitional housing program in the Campsie area is the only one of its kind in the Local Government Area, and specifically targets women with children who have escaped or are experiencing domestic and family violence.
We do not receive any Government funding and therefore rely on monetary and other donations to maintain the properties, and purchase appliances and furniture.
