| This Service is named in honour of
Mother Mary Clare Dunphy RSM who brought the Sisters of Mercy
to Parramatta from Callan, Clare Residence is a simple comfortable building and was orignally a convent for the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta. In recent years it has been part of the Centre complex catering for people in need. This building now provides low cost short-term accommodation for people with family members in hospital. The building comprises 7 bedrooms which can accommodate individuals or families. Lounge, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry are shared. A swimming pool is available and ample space for children to play. All linen and towels are provided. The Centre's Occasional Child Care and Long Day Care can be booked for children 0-5 years whilst families stay at Clare Residence. It is situated opposite the Hills Private Hospital and 15 minutes drive from The Children's Hospital and Westmead Hospital. Parking on site is available for residents. Buses connecting to the Westmead Hospital pass the Centre. Priority is given to individuals or families from rural districts. |
